Cork

Ibec Cork provides a comprehensive range of services to over 400 member companies from all types of business sectors, varying from local indigenous companies to the larger multinational corporations. Through connections, knowledge and influence, Ibec Cork is the indispensible resource where Cork employers and business people join forces.

Ibec Cork works to improve the competitiveness of businesses in the region by empowering members to learn, exchange views and ideas and by ensuring that members are kept up to date with market conditions, innovation and best practice in business.

Regional Business Agenda
The key driver of the Ibec regional business agenda is the Regional Executive Committee (REC) in Cork. The committee meets 4 times throughout the year to discuss national, regional and local issues of importance to the business community and to input into Ibec’s policy formation. Ibec Cork’s current REC president is Dave Ronayne, CEO of Irish Mainport Holdings.

Designated Advisor
A central role of Ibec Cork is advising members directly. The regional office offers a single point of contact for local members as each member is assigned an IR/HR specialist. Members avail of unlimited access to and face-to-face meetings with their designated IR/HR specialist for tailored advice and information on all aspects of employee relations and human resources, including Ibec representation in negotiations, before the Labour Relations Commission and the Labour Court on all industrial relations issues, as well as representation at Rights Commissioners and Employment Appeals Tribunal (EAT).

Related Business Services
In conjunction with our specialised business service units in Dublin, Ibec Cork offers other related services such as information and advice on health and safety, information on Irish economic, environmental and social policy, including legislative requirements for businesses. Members have access to guidelines, reports and surveys on a wide range of employee relations topics via members only sections of the Ibec website.
