BioForum meeting
The BioForum group meets twice a year to tackle technical issues for the large molecule manufacturing sites. The next meeting will include some of topics listed below. The agenda is developed by the group chair, Pat Sheehy, Janssen and Enda Dempsey, BPCI with input from the member companies.
- Processing times = has anyone defined there processing times ( not hold related) ,and been questioned by an auditor on these?
- Filter validation
- Site tour of NIBRT's GE Centre of Excellence to demo single use processes
- Continued Process Verification (CPV)
- Column Evaluation – discuss method of measuring HETP; Pulse Method or Transition Analysis
- Reprocessing – Current approaches and any recent interactions with reg authorities
- Hold time studies / F &T studies - current approaches and any recent interactions with reg authorities
- Expertise of operating single use bioreactors below working volume
- Cooling of bioreactor contents prior to centrifugation
- Optical DO probes versus electrochemical probes for use in SUB’s
